Hayden Robotics is no longer the rookie team! They have come back for the second time to compete in a great robotic competition by the name of First Robotics: the highest level of robotics competition offered by FIRST. Designed for high-schoolers of ages 15-18 who have an interest in working with teams to make some of the most impressive robots ever!

What is The Hayden Robotics Team:

The Hayden Robotics team is also divided into sub-teams: design, electrical, mechanical, business and marketing. Additionally, They have their mentors to help them with anything they need. However, all the work is done by the amazing students! This year the students have doubled in numbers. When only last year, they had 25 students, this year they have over 50! Imagine how great the robot will be with 50 strong heads together, we cannot wait to find out!

Hopes for the Future:

Two other students from last year’s team, Tasnim and Loana, gave me their thoughts on what the team hopes to do this year. The two students are seniors and besides teaching the younger members  all that they know about the competition, they hope that with doubling the team members, they will have a better chance at this year’s competition.

The new members have been getting acquainted with tools and calculations needed for the competition in order to prepare and during the build season starting in January, they hope to show off their skills!

Another hope is to get these students interested and skilled enough to have an interest in joining the Dr. Hayden Jr STEM program. We have no doubt in their abilities and we wish them the best of luck!
