There’s a new phenomenon nowadays and it goes by the name of E-Bikes. E-Bikes are motorcycles and scooters that operate on batteries rather than gas. To supply the demand for E-Bikes, shops are popping up all over Canada from coast to coast. Kelly Goldbeck is a proud owner of one special shop in B.C that goes by the name of Kgeez Cycle.

Kgeez What?
Based in Victoria, B.C, Kgeez Cycle sells E-Bikes, E-Scooters, offers repair and tune up services. Kgeez Cycle offers a variety of different of models such as the Rufus, the Duke 500, the Ace 500, the Tag 500, the Vroom 500, and the BoMo 500. Their newest model of the Tag 500 is equipped with 500+ Watts motors and a 72V battery system.
One reason for the increasing appeal of E-Bikes comes from the fact that you do not need a license, insurance or gas to operate them (in certain provinces, check your local laws). They are easy to maintain and the fact that they are battery powered makes them an eco friendly means of transportation. Which in turn makes them great for the environment.

How Did it Start?
The story of Kelly Goldbeck’s shop started after Goldbeck took a trip to China and was exposed to the amazing culture of green transportation and E-Bikes. He was so inspired by that culture and so amazed at how people used E-bikes rather than cars that he saw an opportunity arise. Always the business man at heart, Goldbeck seized that opportunity to bring this new form of green transportation to Canada. This was in 2014. It is now almost 3 years later and business is booming.
The store has won multiple medals including the 2015 Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce New Business of the Year Award. Also, the 2016 Better Business Bureau “Torch award”, and the Best Customer Service in B.C award.
Whether you’re into E-scooters, E-bikes, or if you need a quick repair, be sure to check out Kgeez Cycle if you’re ever in Victoria, BC.
