Hard work never ends and the Hayden Robotics team knows that. The team also knows that hard work reaps good results. So, that’s all the motivation they were needing to put the final touches on their robot!

The date for the First Robotics steam works competition is fast approaching and the team is not taking any chances. If you have yet to be acquainted with the Hayden Robotics team then let me give you a little introduction: They are a team of 35 student geniuses who are working on a robot that will hopefully be the winner of the 2017 steamworks competition at First Robotics.

What Kind of Competition?

The competition involves robots, steam machines, and airships. The goal for it is to get as many points as possible from scoring balls inside steam machines. Also from securing gear on airships with the help of their robots. What the Hayden Robotics collectively decided to focus on is the gear aspect of the game. As that is what they think will guarantee them points. In the updated video below of the finished robot, you can definitely see the progress and effort put in by the team!

Since the finals for the competition are in April,  First Robotics has many district based competitions that decide on the qualifying teams. Hayden Robotics will be participating in the Durham district one coming up next week and we wish them the best of luck!
