The U.S. Global Climate Change Research Program reaffirms Earth’s climate is changing. Moreover, it is now altering faster than at any point in the history of modern civilization. And this is mainly due to human activities. The Fourth National Climate Assessment shared the climate risks and adaptions and impacts applying across a broad range of conditions.
The Most Important U.S. Climate Risks and Adaptions

More frequent and intense extreme weather patterns are already threatening communities across the United States. Those with aging infrastructures especially face climate risks and adaptions will be necessary to help marginalized communities cope
Moreover, the U.S. economy will also suffer too, due to increasing losses of property and infrastructure. That’s because rising sea levels and temperatures caused by climate change will disrupt critical infrastructures. Energy demand will increase as well, forcing electricity prices higher. Interconnected systems such as water and food production will suffer, as damage to one impacts another. Large reductions in greenhouse gas emissions are therefore becoming critical.
The Most Important Risk We Face is Those Greenhouse Gases
Rising temperatures and increasingly heavy storms are major climate risks and adaptions will be essential to protect drinking water supplies. Transmission of diseases through invading insects and pests will become a major problem, as will be surviving extreme temperatures. However, indigenous communities may be unable to adapt and die out.

Ecosystems will be under threat too, as clean air and water become scarce, and climate changes the nature of America’s national parks. Livestock health will suffer and crop yields will fall in many places. Without renovation the ageing deteriorating infrastructure will begin to fail, especially if the political will is unable to accept the climate risks and adaptions necessary.
Oceans will continue to inexorably rise, and gradually reclaim the coastal strip housing many great cities. Humankind’s innovation will no longer suffice to save our heritage structures. All these things will begin to happen soon, unless we start radically cutting back on fossil fuels now.
