In the first three types of solar thermal panels, water is used as a medium which transfers the heat of the sun to a central area, where heat is stored and concentrated.

Solar thermal systems are not only useful for residential purposes, but this system can also be used in commercial buildings. It can be used in hotels, institutions, offices etc, for generating electricity as well as for heating of water. Thus, solar energy not only helps us save energy but it also helps us save money. Solar energy is an unlimited source of energy and we should make wise use of solar thermal energy to achieve as many benefits as we can.
