Washington Post published a review of Johnson & Johnson vaccine performance on August 10, 2121. It did so in the light of the growing Pfizer / Moderna culture. And the fact some people who took the Johnson ‘because it was there’ are questioning ‘was that the right thing’. The news channel concluded Johnson & Johnson vaccine is showing solid results, and protecting against the Delta variant.
Anthony Fauci Says All Three Vaccines Are Effective
We should consider all the facts when comparing reported vaccine effectiveness. That’s because the sheer numbers don’t reveal what was measured, and how is was done. But this has not prevented a gathering swell of Johnson customers warming up for a booster shot.
World Health Organization stopped short of condemning this approach outright, in the light the Johnson vaccine is showing solid results. But their chief questioned ‘countries that have already used most of the global supply of vaccines using even more of it. While the world’s most vulnerable people remain unprotected.’
Proof of Johnson Vaccine Showing Solid Results
When South Africa decided to begin mass vaccinations a few months ago, the available vaccines were not approved locally yet. So it announced a medical trial of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine among all its health care workers. This fixed legal issues and generated a large database of people eager for their jabs.
The Sisonke trial as they called it produced encouraging results for the Johnson & Johnson product. The results indicated it was up to 95 percent effective in preventing Delta variant-related deaths. And it was up to 71 percent effective in averting hospitalizations too.
Moreover, the company’s own Phase 3 ENSEMBLE study showed its vaccine gave antibody and T-cell immune response protection against the coronavirus. And the defense lasted up to eight months after immunization.
Washington Post asked said Tom Russo for his opinion. Russo is professor and chief of infectious disease at Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He replied ‘people should be confident that vaccines are largely working. The pandemic is among unvaccinated people.’
