It is the moment all of us have been waiting for…The Solar Splash 2018 competition starts tomorrow, Tuesday, June 5th and goes on until Saturday, June 9th!
We are very excited to be attending the 25th annual Solar Splash competition and to finally meet the teams we have been writing about this past year!
The 2018 Teams
Out of the 19 teams that initially entered the competition, 12 remain active and we are looking forward to their performances this week! Here are those teams:

Endurance Tests
The Solar Splash event will be filled with different races/challenges that include the Solar Slalom, the Solar Endurance and a 300 meter race.
We were able to receive some pictures of the teams testing their boats so below is one of the University of New Mexico’s team testing their boat for endurance:
