Following up on last week’s toy battery post, we had a repeated question from our customers who wanted to replace the old original (usually low-capacity) battery with a new high quality one: how can I actually replace the original toy battery, when it seems to be welded to the toy, or has a plastic casing?

dzmWe assure you, it’s easy. The only trick is to properly disconnect the connectors from the original battery and then to connect them to a new, better capacity battery instead. All you need is a couple of minutes and a couple of everyday tools. And, of course, a high quality 12V battery, like this one: 12V 12Ah DZM, or this one: 12V 12Ah Sealed Lead Acid.

Here is a video that our technical team appreciates a lot. It explains how to replace a Power Wheels, Peg Perego and Little Tikes batteries. You can do this all by yourself, or you can ask us to do it for you. It will be our pleasure.

Thank you, blake0711!

p.s. Please recycle the old battery.
