94% Less COVID Hospitalization After Vaccine

Harvard Health published results of an intriguing Center for Disease Control (CDC) study. This confirmed the clinical effectiveness of two-shot Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines. The research probed whether older adults in the real world benefited as much as in clinical trials. And the outcome confirmed they had 94% less COVID hospitalization, provided they had their double doses.

A 94% Benefit Similar to What Happened in Trials

The CDC study took a grab sample of 417 patients, aged 65 years and older. They had all entered hospital with COVID-like symptoms, between early January and late March 2021. First, the researchers tested them for COVID infections, and established their Pfizer-BioNTech / Moderna vaccination history.

Then they compared the coronavirus-positive ones with those that had another illness. They found fully-vaccinated people reduced their risk of COVID related hospitalization by 94% within their small sample.

However, this improvement dropped to 64% for those that did not have the second dose within 14 days of their first one. It’s also important to note the vaccines did not provide protection during the first two weeks after the first vaccine dose.

94% Less COVID Hospitalization – The Researchers’ View

Their research confirms the two vaccines significantly reduce the risk for COVID-19–associated hospitalization in older adults. And that this could also lead to more moderate post-infection symptoms, and fewer deaths too.

Moreover, the 94% proven efficacy rate confirms the accuracy of the earlier vaccine trials. These assessed the Pfizer-BioNTech 95% effective, and the Moderna vaccine 94.1%. This is further evidence of the reliability of Stage 3 trials, and subsequent assessments by U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Therefore proof is steadily growing we can trust our scientists. They have no other incentive but to discover the truth. Anti-vaccination arguments are in shreds with this confirmation of far less COVID hospitalization. There appears to be no reason to refuse the vaccine.
