If We Rebooted COVID What Should Happen

Sometimes we have so much information conflicting in recent memory, it’s tough to figure out what’s actually happening. Director of U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Anthony Fauci may have been thinking of a national reboot. When he commented, ‘You could not be positioned more poorly’. What should happen if we rebooted COVID in our collective mind?

What’s the Big Problem We Face Poorly This Winter?

We consulted a few doctors because you need to have a diagnosis to speak of a cure. Dr. Ali Mokdad is professor, health metrics sciences, and adjunct professor, epidemiology at Washington University School of Public Health. He told KOMO News November 1, 2020 to expect a surge in winter for not having taken precautions.

Dr. Jeff Duchin is health officer for Public Health-Seattle and King County. He says ‘I feel that we’re heading down a treacherous path. And the longer we wait, the more difficult it gets to reverse the trajectory of our increasing outbreak. Two weeks after nearly every holiday during the pandemic we’ve seen a rise in cases, because people decided to meet.’

If We Rebooted COVID What Should Happen Then

If we agree with Dr. Jeff Duchin’s comment ‘the virus clearly has the home field advantage right now.’ And we feel the need to step up our game big time. Then this could mean we may need to take some strong medicine. ABC News suggests we take the following advice on board in terms of what should happen if we reboot COVID-19.

1… Mandate ourselves to wear face masks properly and consistently each day

2… Ask our health officials to tell us the ‘good, bad and ugly’ in ways we understand

3… Stay up to date on levels of viruses and rates of infection in our jurisdiction

4… Curtail potentially high infecting activities especially involving group gatherings

5… Play ball if we may be carrying the virus. Take the test and follow the advice
