LED, or “light emitting diode” is found within your phones, lighting, lamps, laptops…etc. So, it is safe to say that it’s quite important.
The most commonly known products associated with LED are LED lights. They are also the most efficient types of lights out there. Thus, we decided to shine some light on a few companies that are promoting them!
The specific LED lights we’re discussing today are employing locals and helping out hospitals. They are produced by a New York company called: Go Green LED International.
Go Green LED International: Who Are They?
Founded by Michael Viggiani, Go Green LED International is a company based in Rochester, New York. The company makes sustainable and high quality LED lights that could save 50% to 70% of your home’s energy.
Their mission is to deliver cost-efficient and sustainable products to their customers and that is what they seem to be doing as their LED tubes used to be $75 a tube. However, now they cost about $12. Definitely an improvement!
What Makes Them Unique?
They believe in being agents of change in their own communities and in the world. It is not enough for them to have “green” products or that they can be sold at affordable prices. In addition, they want their customers and the locals of their Rochester community to believe in going green. They want to educate them and get them involved in the process! That is why they produce their products locally and they also hire many locals to help them out with the company!
To further prove themselves, they have partnered up with ENEROC–a startup business that works to provide the community with sustainable jobs–to provide LED lights to the Rochester General Hospital. ENEROC will also be hiring a small crew from Rochester to train and teach how to install the LED lights. This news was published in the Rochester Business Journal. Even the mayor praised about this new alliance as he believes it will bring the community together to help solve poverty issues.
Go Green LED International has many more projects coming out during the year and we hope they are just just as good as the one with ENEROC.
