A post in Moscow Times of June 3, 2021 makes the startling announcement a quarter of Russians already had COVID-19. The media makes this announcement on the back of an independent survey by Levadu Analytical Center. We include a link to their report below. However, we don’t speak Russian so we’ll take Moscow Times’ word for it.

A March 2021 report from Levadu claimed ‘More than half of Russians (56%) are not afraid of contracting the coronavirus. This is the highest rate since February 2020.’ The data from their survey reveals the following:

Is This Why a Quarter of Russians Had COVID-19?
Moscow Times says Levadu’s finding that a quarter of Russians already had COVID-19 solidly represents opinions of 34.5 million people. Only 11% of respondents said they had been vaccinated against COVID-19. An earlier Levadu survey revealed ‘a majority of Russians (62%) were unwilling to get vaccinated with their country’s Sputnik V shot’.
This data appears to suggest Russia is a third of the way towards herd immunity through natural infection. Moscow Times says ‘Authorities have openly admitted to slow public take-up of the highly touted Sputnik’. A similar attitude towards other government-approved jabs indicates ‘widely entrenched vaccine skepticism’, it claims.
