We delved into things we wished were not happening yet we found hope in this short series. We learned there are practical things we can do to protect our loved ones during a Covid-19 community outbreak that don’t involve spending our savings. With care, the chances are good we will meet again at school and at work. After closing out our Covid community outbreak plan life will go on, but differently.
One More Thing Before Closing Out Our Covid Community Outbreak
We may never achieve complete success in obliterating the COVID-19 virus. Moreover, there’s a possibility of SARS, MERS, or EBOLA breaking out again. Global warming and the destruction of our natural environment are also taking us into stormy waters regarding community health.
It follows, therefore, that we need to be constantly vigilant and prepare for the possibility of community sheltering recurring. We have the makings of a good plan already. However, if we had to implement what could we learn from the experience before closing out our Covid community outbreak strategy?
How Effective Would Our Sheltering Strategy Have Been?
We learned a great deal while researching the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) advice we share here. If you used it in a real-time situation, we would love to know your experiences. However, we would prefer it was an academic exercise for all, if that were possible. Whatever the case, the CDC recommends the following review process for closing out our Covid-19 community outbreak plan:
1… Have a round table conference with our household to learn how well the plan panned out at home, at school, and at work
2… Share our thoughts with our friends, and the community networks we linked to while preparing our plan
3… Continue maintaining safe distances whenever we can. Remember the lessons we learned about safety and personal hygiene
We continue on our Covid-19 journey into a future that seems less certain than it did when we celebrated Thanksgiving 2019. However, if we are more aware how interconnected we are, then perhaps we gained something from the experience.
