We shared information from World Health Organization regarding how the virus spreads in previous posts. We believe we established a case for COVID-19 being a human-transmitted disease, and how to avoid catching it. Now we turn to the question of when could we could pass on a COVID-19 infection. Or should we say rather not, so we succeed in breaking the chain.
How to Know When We Could Pass On a COVID-19 Infection
The problem we face is we can’t detect an infection for a few days, until Covid-19 symptoms show. There are scientific methods to get around this. However, it’s impractical to have a laboratory test every time we visit a shopping mall, and somebody coughs nearby. What we do know is we could have a COVID-19 infection, and pass it innocently without realizing it.
In fact, we may never develop the symptoms at all, and infect dozens of people at work or our place of worship, to mention just two possibilities. The truth is we may never know we have an infection, until it’s too late to prevent it spreading further.
We May Never Know We Could Pass On a COVID-19 Infection
We may never know our status changed, unless a colleague or a family member reports symptoms, and we have a test. At that stage, the virus may already be deep inside us so we can only hope for the best. We can mostly avoid infection by wearing a face mask, social distancing, and sanitizing on the basis anybody nearby could have the virus.
Perhaps we should take these measures anyway, on the basis we could innocently infect other people if we don’t. And they could pass it on to someone precious in the ultimate double bind. Let’s join hands together, and fight this thing. We could pass the infection on, but let’s at least contain the risk.
